Make Your Wishes Come True on New Moons

At this time of the year, many people make New Year Resolutions. It's a good practice but also almost always discouraging because you make these lofty goals for the whole year and inevitably something happens and you feel derailed and defeated for the rest of the year. I prefer to make New Moon wishes. Because there is a New Moon every month, I get to make a new wish, try again or start anew with each new beginning.

New moons are a time when you do not see the moon because it is just the beginning of a new phase. Many people know this as the waxing moon. This is an excellent time to begin any new undertaking as the engergy of the new moon is a growing energy. It is also a good time for making your wishes known as the growing energy of the moon will help your wishes manifest into fruition. The New Moon is growing towards its full state. Once it reaches its full state, a Full Moon, that is when events/happenings come to fruition. After that, the moon is in the waning state and this is a good time to bring things into closure.

The first new moon in 2016 is on Jan 9 2016 at 8:31 pm EST. It is in the astrological sign of Capricorn.

Here's what you should do to make your wishes for the New Moon.

1. Write your wishes down on a piece of paper and put it in a red envelope.

2. Write no more than 10 wishes and be specific.

3. Makes wishes that correspond with the moon's energy.

For this month, the moon is in Capricorn - so make wishes relating to finance, future security, handling responsibility. Make goals for reaching greater success and recognition for your job or business.

4. Put your wishes in your bed pillow for 30 days or place them outside where the new moon can cast its energy on your wishes.

5. Write your wishes at the right time - try to make it as close as possible to the time of the New Moon.

6. Sign and date your wishes.
